Leadership Classes
The vision of Sup of the Lord includes training others to be sent into the mission field and also begin new churches in North America and South America. Leadership classes have been designed to train individuals in approximately 2-3 years, and cover all aspects of the Kingdom of God and its ministries. �These classes are held each week and are taught by Pastor Gibson.
Family Classes
A strong family helps create a strong church. Pastora Deborah Gibson has developed a series of family topics that are taught periodically at church. These classes include topics such as: �God's structure for the family; child development; discipline; personality traits in children and adults. In addition, special speakers are arranged to cover specific topics: �spiritual warfare for our children; our children and gangs; college applications and financial aid. In addition to her 28 years experience as a pastor, Pastora Deborah also has earned her master's degree in counseling and is credentialed with her LPC through the state of Virginia. The teachings given cover different aspects of the physical, emotional and more so the spiritual development of children from infancy to adulthood and their relation with parents inside and outside the family nucleus.
Classes of Fundamental Principles
HEBREWS 6:1-3 STATES THAT WE ARE TO LEAVE THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF OUR FAITH AND PRESS ON TO MATURITY. However, all must learn the basic precepts of our faith. The fundamental principles classes are for those who are newly entering the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ. Through these classes, they will receive a firm foundation of our Lord and His kingdom and will therefore be able to press on to maturity. This class is taught every Sunday for approximately 2 months and is a requirement for all new members of the church.
Sunday School
Sup of the Lord believes strongly that children are to be taught about the Lord as early as possible. We have a strong structure in our Sunday School Department starting with the nursery and going through 6th grade - at which time the child then proceeds on to the Youth Group. Activities are planned for all age groups to learn about the Lord Jesus with spirituality and fun. �The children of Sup of the Lord recognize their church as their own - on each month that contains 5 Sundays, the children are responsible for running the Sunday service that 5th Sunday - they do a spectacular job under the guidance of their many wonderful teachers. ���
